Plastic surgeon drives fat-powered car

A Beverly Hills surgeon has claimed that he uses fat removed from liposuction operations to power his car.

According to Forbes, Dr Alan Bittner is under investigation from California's public health department for allegedly turning his patients' fat into biodiesel. It is against US law to use medical waste to run vehicles.

"The vast majority of my patients request that I use their fat for fuel - and I have more fat than I can use," Bittner wrote on his website.

"Not only do they get to lose their love handles or chubby belly, but they get to take part in saving the Earth."

Bittner's clinic and website, lipodiesel.com, were shut down after he revealed that he was using the fat to power his Ford Explorer and his girlfriend's Lincoln Navigator.
